Dear friends!

When I think of another Piano Competition in Almaty I start thinking about our future contestants: “Young pianists – who are they? What do they strive for? What are they dreaming about?”

I know that pianists are in love with the instrument. They consider it a unique and divine invention and are willing to spend all their time in dialogue with it. Piano is a true friend, capable to create a space where one can hide from pain and sufferings of everyday life, and where one can experience emotions that are probably not common in the reality. This instrument can reflect the light of human love, pulsation of a live heart, expectation of unattainable happiness…

However, in order to realize in the instrument all any piano player is dreaming of, one has to spen years and decades in exhausting search, hard labor, never-ending doubts and overcomes. And when you are finally on stage, you feel an immense gratitude to the audience, who has such a rare need today – a need to listen to the classical music concert, piano competition – musical Festival.

Really, we all want it very much that our Contest is not perceived as a Competition event. During these years we were creating a unique atmosphere of friendship, spirituality, collaboration and compassion to each other. We are very pleased to receive warm letters from our previous contestants, from all over the world. We learn from these letters about their further successes, victories and exciting events in their lives. Our piano fellowship is growing and getting stronger!

Dear respected contestants! We are waiting for you and doing our best to create a unique celebration of the Piano. We are sure that we will be strongly impressed by your bright individuality, original artistic search, amazing discoveries and exceptional inspiration!
