About Kazakh Conservatory

 

The founders of this competition are The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, The Ministry of Culture
of the Republic of Kazakhstan, The Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory. 

The Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory is the leading music higher education institution in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

For a long period of its history, the conservatoire has managed to create its own national model of higher music education. Organic synthesis of European classical and national systems of education makes this model unique.

Today the graduates of the conservatoire works almost in all music collectives of the country and are the participants of many foreign professional collectives - Russia, Germany, Greece, Holland, Israel, USA, France, Canada, Korea, China, etc.

The languages of study - Kazakh and Russian.

The conservatoire has 2 study buildings, which are situated in the center of the city.

The dormitory is facilitated with accordance to all modern standards and provides with accommodation 100% of students.

The conservatoire persistently renovates its park of music instruments: pianos of German and Japan producers (Steinway&Sons, Grotrian-Steinweg, Bluthner,August Forster, Yamaha), brass, wind and percussion instruments. For these instruments a studio for repairing keyboard, string and brass instruments was organized. 

Concert halls of the conservatoire are equipped with the modern concert devices and have good acoustics.

Organ Hall (Big Hall) – 500 places, one of the best concert halls in the city

Small Hall – 236 places

Chamber Hall - 170 places

Director of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory is a prize-winner of many international contests, professor, National Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan Jania Aubakirova
